ABCD and Sanofi DKA Collaborative Working Project

Diabetes-related ketoacidosis (DKA) is a serious complication that requires standardised, high-quality care. Despite updates to the Joint British Diabetes Societies-Inpatient (JBDS-IP) guidelines in 2010, 2013, 2021, and 2023, research has shown significant variation in DKA care between patients. Traditional audits have fallen short in addressing this variation, which demands immediate attention.
