Research Grants

Now in its fourth year, we are proud to re-advertise the clinical grant funding scheme from The Diabetes Care Trust and The Association of British Clinical Diabetologists for high quality clinically based studies costing up to £50,000 relating to the management and care of people with diabetes. Applicants should be in the early stages of their career. The funding scheme will allow access to additional support from the NIHR Clinical Research Networks for research projects, and will also consider projects relating to education and service evaluation.

Who is eligible? 

  • Early career researchers for example doctors within 5 years of becoming a consultant without a personal fellowship and not having received awards of £50,000 or more in grant funding previously. 
  • Any Allied Healthcare Professionals 
  • Any post PHD students up to 5 years since completion of studies.
