Junior doctors are invited to apply for a position with the Joint British Diabetes Societies for Inpatient Care (JBDS). This unremunerated post is designed to help refresh and update the existing guidelines that have been produced so far (all found at https://abcd.care/joint-british-diabetes-societies-jbds-inpatient-care-group), but also to help JBDS appreciate the needs of junior doctors.

We are inviting colleagues to submit entries to this year’s competition which will be:

‘Best intervention during the COVID-19 pandemic that has maintained inpatient safety for people with diabetes’

After a lengthy gestation of a few years whilst new trial data became available, ABCD is, at last, pleased to announce a Position Statement on the Cardiovascular Impact of New Diabetes Medications – DPP-IV inhibitors, GLP-1 receptor agonists and SGLT2 inhibitors.
