It is with profound sadness that many will have heard, the National Diabetes Audit lead, Dr Bob Young, died on 23rd July 2024. Bob was a consultant in diabetes at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust. He had led the National Diabetes Audit since its inception in around 2003, working with National Clinical Directors for Diabetes, Dr Sue Roberts, and Dr Rowan Hillson.

At the recent 84th Scientific Sessions of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) in Orlando, Florida, there were four presentations from the ABCD audit programme.
