Launch of qualitative findings from the Re:Mission study

On Wednesday April 17th 2024 on the first day of the Diabetes UK professional meeting at the ExCel London, the British Journal of Diabetes is publishing 6 papers, online-first, detailing the findings of the Re:Mission study undertaken by researchers led by Professor Louisa Ells of Leeds Beckett University. These papers evaluate the qualitative aspects of the NHS England Low Calorie Diet Pilots which have now transitioned into the national Type 2 Diabetes Pathway to Remission programme.

Professor Ketan Dhatariya, Chair of ABCD states ‘The care of people with Type 2 diabetes has suffered greatly since the Covid pandemic, so it is important to evaluate and learn from the real-world pilots of exciting new initiatives like the NHS Low Calorie Diet Pilots, which target remission of diabetes’

The papers and an accompanying editorial will be accessible online via this link.

Papers copies will be available for delegates to collect from the NHS Diabetes Programme Board Stand A3 in the Diabetes UK Exhibition.
