JBDS 01 The Hospital Management of Hypoglycaemia in Adults with Diabetes Mellitus
The Joint British Diabetes Societies (JBDS) for Inpatient Care group was created in 2008 to ‘deliver a set of diabetes inpatient guidelines and proposed standards of care within secondary care organisations’, with the overall aim of improving inpatient diabetes care through the development and use of high quality evidence based guidelines, and through better inpatient care pathways.

ABCD is proud to announce the formal election of Dr Garry Tan, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, as our representative on the Joint Specialist Committee for Endocrinology & Diabetes (JSC) at the Royal College of Physicians (RCP)
JSC brings together representatives of the RCP, ABCD, Society for Endocrinology (SfE) and Diabetes UK formally twice a year, in addition to electronic online work, to share information and facilitate collaboration.
Chairing of the JSC is alternated between ABCD and SfE.

2021 Update
This guidance is for a variety of clinicians who treat people with diabetic kidney disease, including primary care physicians and specialists in diabetes, cardiology and nephrology. It intends to harmonise practices of blood pressure monitoring, and pharmacological and non-pharmacological management of hypertension, which vary considerably in different settings.
