ABCD & EASE Regional Meeting 2026

In partnership with ABCD, the East Anglia Society for Endocrinology is delighted to announce this year's meeting. The 2026 event will bring together enthusiastic colleagues in the field of Diabetes and Endocrinology. We have a line-up of fascinating topics that will definitely encourage stimulating discussions and inspirational ideas.

We would like to invite abstracts of not more than 300 words. We welcome abstracts from all members of the MDT, including students and should be related to care of patients with diabetes or endocrinological illness. Authors of the top four scoring abstracts, will be invited to present at the meeting.

Please submit your abstracts no later than midday on Friday 20th November 2026.  Please note that any abstracts submitted for the postponed June event, will be considered for the December meeting, there is no requirement to resubmit.

This meeting is open to consultants, specialist registrars, and all members of the MDT including nurses, dietitians and junior doctors who work in the fields of diabetes and endocrinology.

The conference has been instigated and organised by ABCD. Sponsors, including pharmaceutical companies, have contributed funding towards this event in return for exhibition space. They have had no input into the agenda or the selection of speakers with the exception of any sponsored symposia which are clearly indicated.

  • ABCD & EASE Regional Meeting 2026 - Venue information

    The meeting will take place at

    Parking is available either in the multi-story car park beside the BCRE or the main hospital car park, the usual hospital charges apply (further information and rates).

    There is also a Park and Ride service available from Costessey.

    The venue is accessible via a number of bus routes which drop off outside the hospital entrance which is a very short walk to the BCRE (<5minutes)

    There is a train station in Norwich, however it is on the other side of the city but buses run frequently throughout the day from the station to NNUH.

    Abstracts

    You will need to make your own accommodation booking should you require it. There are a number of hotels in Norwich offering a range of prices and styles.

    Accreditation

    Accreditation for CPD credits has been applied for. Certificates of attendance will be available after the event. 

    Meeting registration

    Registration for this event will open on at 9am Tuesday 24th March and will close on Thursday 18th November 2026 at midday.  Places are available on a first come, first served basis.   

    If you had previously registered for the postponed June 2026 event, your registration will be carried forward, there is no requirement to re-book.  If you have any queries about your registration status, please contact us at info@abcd.care 

    Catering

    Refreshments include tea and coffee at designated breaks and a sandwich lunch. We will endeavour to cater for any dietary requirements that have been specified to us beforehand.

    Meeting Rooms

    The meeting sessions will take place in the Roy Snelling Lecture Theatre and the exhibition and catering will be located in Rooms 15 and 16. All rooms are located within the Bob Champion Research & Education Building.

    Please do not leave bags or equipment unattended and please wear your badge at all times. ABCD/EASE cannot be held responsible for personal belongings or effects.

    We are delighted to be able to offer this meeting free of charge to all delegates. 

    Please note; if you register for this course and fail to attend without adequate notice, you may be unable to attend other ABCD events for the next 12 months.

    1. Delegate places at the conference are limited and offered on a first-come, first served basis. Places cannot be guaranteed until payment has been received.
    2. Cancellation charges may apply (100% cancellation fee if cancelled within four weeks of the event)
    3. Refunds may be available up to 28 days prior to the event taking place - please check the details for each event.  All refunds are subject to a £10.00 administration fee
    4. ABCD / ABCD Diabetes Technology Network reserves the right to alter the programme without prior notice
    5. In the event that a conference is cancelled or cannot take place for any reason outside the control of ABCD, the registration fees will be refunded in full. The total liability of  ABCD shall be limited to that refund only and it shall not be liable for any other loss, cost or expense, howsoever arising.
    6. Delegates are advised to take out appropriate travel insurance cover.
