ABCD is delighted to announce the 2025 regional Midlands meeting bringing together enthusiastic colleagues in the field of Diabetes and Endocrinology. We have a programme of fascinating topics that will encourage stimulating discussions and inspirational ideas.

This meeting is open to consultants, specialist registrars, and all members of the MDT including nurses, dietitians and junior doctors who work in the fields of diabetes and endocrinology.

    Please make your way to Lancaster Suite entrance.  The registration desk will be located in the Lancaster Foyer.

    Accommodation

    You will need to make your own accommodation booking should you require it. There are a number of hotels in the surrounding area offering a range of prices and styles. 

    Accreditation

    Accreditation for 6 credits has been applied for.

    Certificates will be available to download from your dashboard once we have received confirmation and details of accreditation.

    Catering

    Refreshments include tea and coffee at designated breaks and a buffet lunch. We will endeavour to cater for any dietary requirements that have been specified to us beforehand.

    Deposits, cancellations and refunds

    A £50 refundable deposit will be applicable when registering for this event.  The refund will be issued following the event assuming you attend the full day.

    If you need to cancel your place please email info@abcd.care as soon as possible so that your place can be offered to another delegate.  Deposit refunds will only be available until Friday 5th September 2025 after this date, we will only be able to issue refunds if your place can be filled by another delegate.

    The meeting sessions will take place in Lancaster 3 and the exhibition and catering will be located in Lancaster 1 & 2 of the Lancaster Suite.

    Please do not leave bags or equipment unattended and please wear your badge at all times. ABCD cannot be held responsible for personal belongings or effects.

    Free Shuttle Service 

    Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport provides a complimentary shuttle bus service to and from Birmingham International Train Station that runs 24/7.  This service will be operating as a dedicated service on the morning of the ABCD Midlands Regional meeting 2025, collecting delegates from Birmingham International Train Station and providing a return shuttle service back to Birmingham International Train Station at the end of the meeting.

    Taxis are also available from Birmingham International Train Station.  

    Car Parking Options

    Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport has 139 onsite parking spaces including four electric charging points.  Parking is free of charge during the day and is charged at £12.00 per vehicle for an overnight stay, per night.  Parking is available on a first come, first served basis and you will be required to enter your car's registration at reception upon arrival. 

    During peak periods overflow parking is also available just a 3 minute walk from the hotel's main entrance.

    1. Delegate places at the conference are limited and offered on a first-come, first served basis. Places cannot be guaranteed until payment has been received.
    2. Cancellation charges may apply (100% cancellation fee if cancelled within four weeks of the event)
    3. Refunds may be available up to 28 days prior to the event taking place - please check the details for each event.  All refunds are subject to a £10.00 administration fee
    4. ABCD / ABCD Diabetes Technology Network reserves the right to alter the programme without prior notice
    5. In the event that a conference is cancelled or cannot take place for any reason outside the control of ABCD, the registration fees will be refunded in full. The total liability of  ABCD shall be limited to that refund only and it shall not be liable for any other loss, cost or expense, howsoever arising.
    6. Delegates are advised to take out appropriate travel insurance cover.
    7. All delegates attending events must comply with relevant current government guidance at the time of the event. Delegates are asked to take all possible precautions against spreading infection through the wearing of masks and frequent hand washing. Delegates are asked to advise the event team if they test positive for COVID-19.
