Rachel is a Consultant paediatrician at Oxford Children’s Hospital and researcher at the University of Oxford, where she leads the T1Early research programme, undertaking work on screening for childhood type 1 diabetes (T1D). Rachel leads a number of initiatives in the UK and Europe on T1D screening and holds senior leadership positions, including as Diabetes officer for the British Society for Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes (BSPED), as Chair of the BSPED Pre-T1D Special Interest group, and co-lead of the NHS England Task & Finish group on T1D screening and Immunotherapy.
