Workshop 1 – Assessment and simple strategies

The workshop will run through cases that you will have been sent prior to the event to illustrate
• How to assess someone is safe to exercise
• How to do a dietary assessment
• What initial advice to give
• How to manage different sports

5 workshops will be run in parallel with the same content.
Each workshop will be facilited by a Doctor, dietitian and patient

• How to provide advice on managing a long endurance event
• How to do a more complex dietary assessment
• How to manage more complex sports/events such as watersports and exercising in extreme conditions such as altitude
• Tips for managing common problems

5 workshops will be run in parallel with the same content.
