Daniel Newman has been living with Type 1 diabetes since 1996. Daniel was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease in 2013 and received a Kidney transplant in 2018. Daniel served as a patient representative on the committee that recently updated the National Institute for Clinical Excellence NICE guidelines regarding access to glucose sensor diabetes technology for all people living with diabetes in England. Daniel is passionate about equity of access to diabetes care and technology, and he’s a champion for the representation of ethnic minorities.
