Survey: National Diabetes Audit (NDA) specification engagement

As the contractual arrangements under which the National Diabetes Audit (NDA) is delivered end in June 2022, the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) is preparing a new specification and package of work for this programme. To aid this, they are seeking feedback on a high-level summary which will inform the commissioning of the National Diabetes Audit (NDA). Your feedback will be used to refine a requirements specification for the audit which will set out what the audit should look like, what it should do, what it should produce and what it should achieve from June 2022 until June 2025.

In order to develop this specification HQIP has summarised the scope of the NDA within the survey linked below and is undertaking a period of wider engagement through a range of activities to give stakeholders the opportunity to provide feedback.

This survey is open to those who:

  • Receive care, including people affected by diabetes, their families and carers and charities
  • Deliver care, including clinical professionals, providers of care, royal colleges, professional societies and organisations which develop clinical and professional standards of best practice
  • Commission care, including national and local commissioners
  • Regulate care.

The comments and feedback received will be considered and used to refine a specification for the National Diabetes Audit (NDA) which will be formally approved by NHS England and Improvement.

You are invited to record your comments and feedback via the following survey: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/PCLC9NN

Please ensure you submit your feedback no later than 5 pm on Tuesday 15 June 2021.

Further information on this engagement process can be found at: https://www.hqip.org.uk/national-diabetes-audit-specification-developmeā€¦. An update on the outcome of this engagement exercise will be published on the page linked above in autumn 2021.
