Dr Susannah Rowles has been appointed as ABCD Honorary General Secretary following the resignation of Dr Russell Drummond. Susannah was appointed unopposed following a call to the membership for applications.
Commenting on her appointment Susannah said, "I am delighted to take up the gauntlet from Russell Drummond, as Honorary Secretary for ABCD supporting our Chairman, Dinesh.
Having been an active member of the organization for over a decade, ABCD is unique in being a group of Diabetologists, working for Diabetologists in many different spheres.
The larger the membership, the stronger our influence in representing ourselves, the diverse teams in which we work and being advocates for our patients.
During my tenure I will strive to espouse the benefits of membership (representation, education, support & mentoring) attracting new members to build further our diversity and vibrancy. So please, make your new year’s resolution to tell your colleagues about ABCD!
