Calling all specialist diabetes services to join the NDA Quality Improvement Collaborative for type 1 diabetes

The closing date to apply to join the Collaborative has now been extended to Tuesday 29th November 2022.

The National Diabetes Audit (NDA) is keen to support services to improve the care for people with diabetes and is looking for local specialist teams in England and Wales to join the new NDA Quality Improvement Collaborative (QIC). We hope to recruit all adult specialist services to this Collaborative. A key NDA recommendation is to address gaps in the use of insulin pumps by people with type 1 diabetes; for example, there are currently about 90,000 in England and Wales with an HbA1c >69mmol/mol who do not use an insulin pump. There is also variation by location, sex, age, ethnicity and deprivation.

ABCD would encourage all specialist hospital and similar services to sign up to this.
