The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) have called for evidence for the guideline 'Adrenal insufficiency: acute and long-term management'.
They specifically need the following information for the guideline:
- The proportion of people who are prescribed emergency intramuscular hydrocortisone for use outside of a healthcare setting.
- The type of adrenal insufficiency people who are prescribed intramuscular emergency hydrocortisone for use outside of a healthcare setting are diagnosed with.
- The proportion of people who use their emergency intramuscular hydrocortisone outside of a healthcare setting (if possible, stratified by type of adrenal insufficiency).
NICE are particularly interested in information promoting equality of opportunity relating to age, disability, gender, gender identity, ethnicity, religion and belief sexual orientation or socio-economic status.
