ABCD would like to announce these two QI opportunities from the NDA team for diabetes services and CCG/Healthboards to our members. Please note the tight deadline of 21st April 2021.
The National Diabetes Audit (NDA) is keen to support services to improve the care for people with diabetes and is looking for local teams in England and Wales to join two NDA Quality Improvement Collaboratives (QICs). They successfully recruited for the first cohort of this 2021-22 QIC programme earlier this year. However some services were not able to apply due to pressures brought on by the pandemic. They would like to offer specialist services as well as CGGs/Health Boards another opportunity to participate, forming a second cohort.
Collaborative 1: 10 specialist services to help people with type 1 diabetes keep their blood glucose levels within their target range
Collaborative 2: 10 CCGs or Health Boards to join this collaborative and explore how to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease in people with type 2 diabetes
