ABCD Nationwide FreeStyle Libre Audit – New Data Deadline - 21st May 2019

This next deadline of 21st May for data submission to the ABCD nationwide FreeStyle Libre audit has been set for two reasons.  An updated analysis will be undertaken to form the data that will be presented at the  American Diabetes Association annual professional conference between June 7-11, 2019.  This analysis will then be used to write the first paper to be published from the audit.  Data collection will continue beyond this date though 21st May is an important milestone.

We now have over 4000 patients registered in the audit, but most have only one visit recorded. We are especially keen for people to enter follow up data on their patients.  Please submit as much data as possible before the deadline – use the online tool at http://freestyle.patientaudit.co.uk/

To register for the audit if you have not already done so use: https://abcd.care/application-join-abcd-nationwide-freestyle-libre-audit-and-gain-access-audit-tool-n3

Centres may analyse their own data using the tool and this is an excellent project for a junior doctor or medical student and of course DSN’s and medical secretaries and indeed anyone involved in the management of diabetes may wish to be involved.

As with all previous ABCD nationwide audits, all contributors will be acknowledged in all the outputs, including, of course, the paper which we plan to write during July/August..

Further enquiries may be made to the ABCD nationwide audits database administrator of the project, Melissa Cull.

With best wishes on behalf of ABCD:
