You will be aware that JBDS have launched an audit of the medical VRIII guideline to look into its safety and inform any possible changes for the second version. We have received 50 replies so far ( 5 audit forms from 10 trusts) and we would be grateful for as many entries as possible to make the analysis robust.
We have therefore extended the deadline to receipt of entries to 30th September.
We are asking trusts throughout the UK to send in 5 proformas of patients they have treated with VRIII. These are completely anonymised. They need to be labelled with the name of the trust and the number ( between 1 and 5) in order to differentiate the different patients. Eg East and North Herts Number 1; East and North Herts Number 2. Forms are available on the ABCD website or direct from Dr Stella George. Completed returns should be sent to Dr Stella George at stellageorge@nhs.net. Thank you all in advance for helping to increase the safety of our patients with diabetes in hospitals.
