Mrs. Rachael Bealey

Rachael is a Senior Diabetes Specialist Nurse and has been part of the Diabetes Team at York for the past 10 years. She is the Insulin Pump and Technology Lead for York and Scarborough Hospitals and is responsible for co-ordinating the introduction of new technology; developing and maintaining pathways for technology starts and upgrades; and for staff training and support. Rachael works alongside people with diabetes to help support them with utilising diabetes technology for maximum benefit. She has developed comprehensive resources for people living with diabetes including a pump portfolio, QISMET accredited education sessions for people new to pump therapy and for pump upgrades, and hybrid closed loop training sessions and resources.
