Professor Umesh Dashora

Conquest Hospital, St Leonards On Sea
Umesh Dashora is a consultant in Hastings and has trained in diabetes and endocrinology at Newcastle and Southampton among other centres.
He has been a keen member of the ABCD since 2013 and has actively promoted and contributed to the ABCD journal as the news editor. He has represented ABCD in JBDS-IP and contributed to a number of recent national guidelines.
He has published on SGLT-2 inhibitors in type 2 and type 1 diabetes, managing diabetes during labour and delivery and U500 insulin among other areas.
He was the outgoing meeting secretary of ABCD. He has also worked as a regional adviser the Royal colleges of Physicians of London and Edinburgh.
He has been leading on Rowan Hillson Awards for Many years.
Currently he is deputy chief of medicine at Conquest Hospital and ESHT UG lead, personal tutor and Honorary Clinical Professor, Brighton School of Medical Sciences. He also works as CPD reviewer, Royal College of Physicans of London.
