Mr. Roddy Riddle

Roddy is an ex International cyclist who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 40. He ran the 2013 154 miles Marathon Des Sables Ultra Marathon and has raised 30K for 2 diabetes charities JDRF and Diabetes UK. He did the 2016 352 miles Arctic 6633 Ultra Marathon failing to finish and pulling out only 70 miles from the finish line, feeling he let himself, family, friends but more importantly the whole diabetes community down he returned in March 2017 to become the 1st Scotsman and type 1 diabetic to finish the Beast of a race in 2nd place and has the 6th fastest time in the history of the race.
