Kate has led the development of the West Hants Community Diabetes Service since 2010 and developed an interest in service improvement and leadership. In 2015 the WHCDS was one of the first community diabetes services to be successfully re-commissioned. Kate led the development of the WISDOM project in 2018, working with primary care teams to standardise type 2 diabetes care and improve clinical outcomes.
