Dr Dinesh Nagi, ABCD chair, Dr Pratik Choudhary and Dr Emma Wilmot, ABCD DTN-UK chair and ex-chair and ABCD trustee Ketan Dhataryia were invited to Downing Street by Prime Minister, Theresa May. They attended a Reception at Number 10 which thanked staff involved in the care, treatment and prevention of diabetes. The reception included Matt Hancock, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Simon Steven, Chief Executive of the NHS and Prime Minister, Theresa May.
Theresa May, who lives with Type 1 diabetes herself, thanked staff at the reception, “I will be forever grateful to all those who taught me how to manage my condition and reduce the impact it has on my life.”
