Insulin Anniversary Meeting Information

Hospitality and Registration Desk

On arrival at the RCP please make your way to the Wolfson Theatre lobby where the registration desk will be sited. Upon registration, you will receive your conference badge. We request that you please wear your badge throughout the meeting. The conference organising team will be based at this desk throughout the conference should you have any queries.

Accommodation

You will need to arrange your own accommodation and there are a number of hotels in this area of central London offering a range of prices and styles.

Cancellation

Please note that in the event of cancellation, deposit payment and dinner fees will only be refunded until 27th May 2022, and all refunds are subject to a £10 administration fee. After 27th May no refunds will be given.

Catering

All refreshments and lunch each day will be served in the Osler Long Room on the first floor.
We will endeavour to cater for any dietary requirements that have been specified before the day but regret that it may not be possible to provide a special diet if we have not been notified in advance.

Certificate of Attendance

The ABCD Meeting to Commemorate the Centenary of the First Administration of Insulin into a Human has been approved by the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom for 11 category 1 (external) CPD credit(s). . Certificates of attendance will be emailed to you after the event.

Dinner

The Conference Dinner will be served on 4th July in the Dorchester Library at the RCP London. The evening will commence with a drinks reception in the Osler Long Room at 19.00, followed by dinner at 19.30. We will endeavour to cater for any dietary requirements that have been specified before the day but regret that it may not be possible to provide a special diet if we have not been notified in advance. The dress code is lounge suits and cocktail dresses.

Safety and security

Please do not leave bags or equipment unattended and please wear your badge at all times. ABCD cannot be held responsible for personal belongings or effects.

Whilst it is not compulsory to wear a mask during the event, the venue encourage you to do so while moving about the building in particular. There will be hand sanitiser stations available for your use on site as well as hand washing facilities. We do politely request that you do not attend if you are displaying any covid symptoms or have had a recent positive test result.
