Kate (Katharine) Hunt is a consultant in diabetes and general internal medicine at King’s College Hospital, London (since 2016). Kate is physician lead for the diabetes and pregnancy and diabetes transition and young adult services at King’s College Hospital.
Kate jointly led a writing group which produced the ABCD DTN-UK Best Practice Guide: Using diabetes technology in pregnancy (March 2020)
Kate is an active researcher in diabetes and pregnancy. Kate was a researcher for the CONCEPTT study (continuous glucose monitoring in pregnant women with type 1 diabetes) (Lancet Sept 2017) and the AiDAPT study (Automated insulin Delivery Amongst Pregnant women with Type 1 diabetes) (NEJM Oct 2023).
