Dr. Rajna Golubic

Rajna is an NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Diabetes and Endocrinology in the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism. As an Academic Clinical Fellow (Cambridge), she was an investigator on several innovative diabetes trials including a collaborative trial focusing on the effects of a novel GLP1/glucagon agonist on energy balance in obese adults with type 2 diabetes. At Cambridge, she was principal investigator of a proof-of-concept trial examining the effects of serotonin agonism on glucose homeostasis (DRWF funded). Her PhD (Gates Cambridge Scholarship) focused on population-level physical activity and cardiometabolic disorders.
Rajna authored 30 peer-reviewed papers. Her research interests include risk, prevention and treatment of diabetes and its complications. She co-leads a related project using large-scale cohort data.
She is Associate Editor of the BMJ Nutrition, Prevention and Health and a non-executive Associate Director of the NNEdPro Global Institute for Food, Nutrition and Health.
