I am a Paediatric Nurse with a BSc Hons in Children's Nursing and a Dip HE Children's Nursing. My career experience has been on General Paediatric wards, and I have had a special interest in Paediatric Diabetes since I qualified as a Nurse. I have been a Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Nurse for the past 10 years caring for Children and Young People aged 0-19 years with diabetes and I am now nursing lead of Paediatric Diabetes for WWL NHS trust. I also have a personal interest in young people with Type 1 diabetes as my Stepson who is in his 20’s has very recently been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.
