Dr. Gordon Sloan

Gordon Sloan is a Clinical Scientist, NIHR-funded Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sheffield, and a trainee in Diabetes and Endocrinology in South Yorkshire. His research centres on painful diabetic neuropathy, combining advanced neuroimaging to explore central mechanisms with skin biopsy to study peripheral nerve changes. His ultimate aim is to develop more effective treatment strategies for painful diabetic neuropathy. Alongside his academic work, he supports early-career researchers through international committees for NEUROdiab and NeuPSIG.
