DTN-UK Meeting Information

The ABCD registration and hospitality desk will be open in the Galleries Foyer on the first floor from 08.00 - 19.30 hours on 7th September.
Upon registration, you will receive your conference badge. We request that you please wear your badge throughout the meeting. The conference organising team will be based at this desk throughout the conference should you have any queries.

You will need to make your own accommodation booking should you require it. There are a number of hotels in the NEC area offering a range of prices and styles.  


Accreditation for this meeting has been sought by the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom for 4.5 category 1 (external) CPD credits for full attendance.  Certificates of attendance will be emailed after the event. 

In the event of cancellation, delegate fees are only refundable until 10th August 2022. After this date no refunds will be issued. All refunds are subject to a £10 administration fee.

Your delegate fee includes tea and coffee at designated breaks and a buffet lunch. We will endeavour to cater for any dietary requirements that have been specified to us beforehand.

All meeting rooms are in the Galleries area of the NEC, which are located on the first floor above Halls 7 & 8. The Galleries are accessed via stairs or lift from Atrium entrance 2. See the Access Maps for more information.

Please do not leave bags or equipment unattended and please wear your badge at all times. ABCD cannot be held responsible for personal belongings or effects.

Whilst it is not compulsory to wear a mask during the event,you masy wish to do so while moving about the building in particular. There will be hand sanitiser stations available for your use on site as well as hand washing facilities. We do politely request that you do not attend if you are displaying any covid symptoms or have had a recent positive test result.

By Train
The NEC is served by Birmingham International Train station which is a short walk from the venue. There are regular trains connecting to Birmingham New Street and onward services.
By Air
Birmingham International Airport is located a short distance from the NEC. Simply take the free and fast air-rail link to the International Rail station located in the upper level of Terminal 1. The train runs every 2 minutes and takes 90 seconds. When you arrive just head straight through to the NEC.
By Car
The NEC is clearly signposted from all motorways and major routes including the M42, M40 and M6 - just pop B40 1NT in your sat nav to get close, then follow the signs when you see them. When you arrive at the NEC, look out for ABCD on our signs to take you to the correct car park. After parking, simply jump on the free shuttle bus, or take a leisurely stroll along the signposted footpaths. The post code will not take you to the car park for the event, so please follow signage. Car parking is free of charge for all delegates. During the days, parking will be in N2-5, and there will be shuttle buses running to the venue from these parking areas. From 16:30 on 7th Sep, N1 will be open for those attending the dinner. Please see the site map to see the locations of the car parking areas.
