Conference venue and parking

The conference will be held on the first floor of The International Centre, Telford, St Quentin Gate, Telford, Shropshire TF3 4JH

Cost

The registration fees for the meeting can be viewed here and include refreshments and lunch on days one, two and three.  Please note, arrival refreshments will only be available on day one (28th January).

The Conference Dinner with drinks on day one may be booked at additional cost and is optional. Please note that drinks with lunch (apart from water, tea and coffee) are at your own expense.

You will need to pay for your own travel expenses, accommodation, breakfast, dinner and any room extras at your hotel.

Accommodation

You will need to book and pay for your own accommodation for two nights - 28th & 29th January 2026.

At the Telford International Centre, there are two on-site hotels: The International Hotel and Holiday Inn Telford-Ironbridge, and the Ramada Telford-Ironbridge hotel is located just off-site. All are within easy walking distance from the conference centre.  For more information and to book.

Alternative accommodation is available nearby to suit a range of tastes and budgets.

Hospitality desk and conference team contact details

The hospitality desk is located on the first floor of the venue for the duration of the conference. Please do not hesitate to contact the conference team at the desk if you have any queries during the conference.

Badges

Your name badge will be provided on arrival at the registration desk and should be worn at all times. 

Your badge will also contain your workshop colour for the duration of the conference, please ensure you attend the workshops allocated to you.  

If you have booked a place at the conference dinner on the night of the 28th January, this will also be indicated on your badge, please bring your badge with you to the dinner for easy access.

Safety, security and luggage store

Luggage store facilities will be available for the duration of the conference. Please do not leave bags or equipment unattended. ABCD cannot be held responsible for misplaced personal belongings. Luggage is left at your own risk. In case of a fire at the venue please ensure you are aware of the means of escape and how and where to raise the alarm.

Evaluation form and certificate of attendance

Your feedback is crucial to the planning of future conferences. Please complete the online conference evaluation form which will be emailed to you at the end of the conference.

Conference certificates of attendance will be issued on completion of the evaluation form and available via the conference dashboard.

A wide range of products and information from sponsors is on display. Any interactions with pharmaceutical stands in the exhibition area​ are for HCPs only. A full list of sponsors can be found on the website.

The Diabetes Update Programme has been instigated and organised by ABCD. Sponsors have contributed funding towards this event in return for exhibition space. They have had no input into the agenda or the selection of speakers with the exception of any sponsored symposia which are clearly indicated.

Meals and refreshments

Refreshments will be available during breaks in the exhibition area, Ironbridge 2.

If you have a special dietary requirement please make yourself known to the Telford International Centre staff at the refreshment and lunch breaks and they will be able to help you.

Attendance at the conference dinner is available to those who have booked in advance only. Please check your dashboard to confirm your booking. Your booking will also be visible on your badge so please bring your badge to dinner as it will be required for entry.

If you have booked a place, the conference dinner will be held on Wednesday 28th January in the Reynolds Suite on the ground floor of the Holiday Inn Telford commencing with a pre-dinner drink at 19:00 with dinner at 19:30.
