ABCD CDP Course 2022 Information

Please note that you are expected to attend all sessions on each day of the programme and we cannot accept requests to attend part of the course only. 

Cost

The cost of attending the course is £500 per person, to include accommodation for 4 nights, lunch and dinner on day 1, breakfast, lunch and dinner on days 2, 3 & 4 and breakfast & lunch on day 5. Drinks are not included. You will need to pay for your own travel expenses and room extras at the hotel.

Dinner and accomodation

These will be provided on the nights of  26th, 27th, 28th & 29th September 2022. If you live locally and do not need dinner and/or accommodation please let me know as soon as possible.  Please note there will be some guest speaker sessions at dinner that you should attend as part of the programme even if you are not staying at the hotel.

Venue

Edbaston Park Hotel & Conference Centre, 53 Edgbaston Park Road, Birmingham, B15 2RS. Please see the hotel website for further details.
The venue has a detailed Covid 10 Point Plan that you should take time to read. This gives you information on the precautions the hotel are talking to enable us to run this event safely and within governmant guidelines.

Location

The Edgbaston Park Hotel is located on the Birmingham University campus just 2 miles from Birmingham city centre. By rail the hotel is a 10 minute walk across the campus from the University rail station, which is just 6 minutes by frequent trains from Birmingham New Street. There is free car parking available on site (subject to availability). From Birmingham Airport, take the train to New Street Station and onwards to University - the journey will take around 30 minutes.

Hotel check in & out

Your room will be ready for check in from 14.00 on 26th September. Check out time is 10.00 on 30th September – an additional charge may be incurred if you do not check out before this time. Please note that the concierge will be able to store your luggage once you have checked out of your room.

Bedroom amenities and hotel services

Bedrooms have individual climate control, en suite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, free wifi, iron and ironing board,hair dryer & satellite TV. Hotel services include a restaurant & bar, Guests of the hotel are able to use the pool and gym at the Birmingham University Sports Park free of charge, and this is situated a 10 minute walk from the hotel.

Meals

Lunch and dinner will be provided on day 1, breakfast, lunch and dinner on days 2, 3 & 4 and breakfast and lunch on day 5. If you have specified a dietary requirement then this will be catered for. Please note that drinks with meals (apart from water) are at your own expense.

Registration on site

Please come to the main hotel foyer to register between 09.30 and 10.00 on Monday 26th September.

Safety & security

Please do not leave bags or equipment unattended and please wear your badge at all times. ABCD cannot be held responsible for personal belongings or effects.

Whilst it is not compulsory to wear a mask during the event,you masy wish to do so while moving about the building in particular. There will be hand sanitiser stations available for your use on site as well as hand washing facilities. We do politely request that you do not attend if you are displaying any covid symptoms or have had a recent positive test result.

Cancellation

Should you need to cancel your place at this meeting, please note that fees paid can only be refunded if we are able to fill your place with another delegate, otherwise no refunds can be given. All refunds are subject to a £10 administration fee.
