Stella George
Co-opted member of ABCD (Diabetes Care) Ltd committee - Workforce Co-ordinator
Stella is a consultant at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust.
Stella is the lead for inpatient diabetes in her trust and her team has won the QiC Diabetes award for their pro-active 7 day service.Stella is one of the lead authors of the recently published ‘Guideline for the Use of Variable Rate Intravenous Insulin Infusions in Medical Inpatients’ and looks forward to receiving feedback of its use in real life settings so that it can continue to be developed. She is also the lead for diabetes retinopathy clinics and joint lead for the transition service in her trust. She been appointed as the next Workforce Survey Coordinator for Diabetes and Endocrinology and is also a regional coordinating sub-dean for the University of Cambridge students that come to the ‘ southern hub’ of hospitals for their undergraduate clinical attachments.
