Sam Rice
Sam is an elected member of ABCD (Diabetes Care) Ltd representing Welsh members.
Sam is Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli, Hywel Dda University Health Board and Honorary Senior Lecturer, Swansea Clinical School.
Sam's recent work has revolved around the development of new methods of delivering patient education and support through the use of modern technology. He has an ongoing medical education role as the director for academic training at the Wales deanery and he sits on both the All Wales Diabetes Implementation group and the National Statutory Advisory Group for Diabetes. He is the current secretary of the Welsh Endocrine and Diabetes Society and a theme lead at the Diabetes Research Unit Cymru.
