- To gain an overview of the evidence base for lifestyle interventions currently offered in Tier 3
- To gain an in depth knowledge of the medication used in the management of obesity with a focus on the latest evidence in the use of GLP1 agonists
- To gain an understanding of how bariatric surgery works and when and who to refer
- To gain knowledge of the latest in the field of neuroimaging and what it tells us about appetite

Dr. Stella George
Stella George is Clinical Director for diabetes and endocrinology at East and North Herts NHS Trust. She is the President of the Diabetes and Endocrinology section at the Royal Society of Medicine. She is a lead author of the JBDS Guideline for the use of Variable Rate Intravenous Insulin Infusion (VRIII) in medical inpatients, a member of the writing group on several other JBDS-IP guidelines and is the current co-ordinator for the ABCD/DUK/SfE/RCP Diabetes and Endocrinology Consultant Workforce Survey. -
Victoria Salem
Vicky Salem is a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Bioengineering at Imperial College London and Honorary Consultant in Diabetes, Endocrinology and Acute Medicine at Charing Cross Hospital. Her research focuses on type 2 diabetes and obesity, with a particular interest in the neuroendocrinology of the gut brain axis and advanced optical imaging platforms to interrogate pancreatic islet function in health and disease.
