ABCD Conference: Winning Abstracts Terms & Conditions
Two prizes will be awarded each year at the ABCD Conference:
- Best poster by a junior doctor
- Best poster
The prize for each award is a £500 travel award to present the abstract at an international conference.
To apply for your travel award, please complete an expense claim form, ensuring you include details of the winning abstract, e.g. date of the award and abstract title.
Award conditions
You must prepare a short report on your experience of attending the international conference and detail how the award helped you. This will be used in the promotion of the award in the future.
Please make sure you take out appropriate travel insurance before confirming your travel arrangements.
Legal notices
- This travel award can only be used to support registration costs, accommodation and standard class travel costs in relation to attendance at the stated international conference.
- Evidence of expenditure may be required to be submitted to ABCD to verify your costs, so please retain receipts for all charges.
- If, for any reason, you are unable to attend the conference, we will require full reimbursement of the award funds (please make sure you take out appropriate travel insurance).
- If you successfully obtain additional commercial/employer sponsorship from other sources, these must be utilised first and any unused funds returned to ABCD.
- You must return any funds not used as described in point 1 above directly to ABCD.
- Recipients of the bursary will be expected to complete a summary of their experience at the international conference for use by ABCD in future promotion of this opportunity.
