Stefan was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) at the age of 9. Stefan has volunteered tirelessly for well over a decade to support the teaching programmes run by the Oxfordshire Paediatric Diabetes Team through a variety of teaching/study days for families to offer practical support, to give a young person’s perspective and to offer peer support. He also attends residential weekends to activity centres with children to emphasise a learn by doing approach.
He enjoys endurance based exercise events, typically involving cycling. This is his second EXTOD where he will be part of the Q&A Experts discussion.
