Dr. Shivani Misra

Dr Shivani Misra is a Consultant Physician in Metabolism & Diabetes and a Wellcome Trust Investigator at Imperial College London. As a clinical academic she leads a portfolio of research activity primarily investigating the drivers of early-onset type 2 diabetes and more broadly heterogeneity in type 2 diabetes and its progression. Dr Misra was the recipient of the EASD/ Novo Nordisk Foundation Precision Medicine Prize in 2023 and Co-Chairs an NIDDK working group on type 2 diabetes heterogeneity.

The Association of British Clinical Diabetologists is the national organisation of Consultant Physicians in Britain who specialise in Diabetes Mellitus. Most are also Acute General Physicians, and many are also Specialists in Endocrinology and Lipid Metabolism.
