Dr Clare Gillies is a Lecturer in Medical Statistics at the University of Leicester and is also the Programme Manager for the Leicester Real World Evidence Unit, based at the Diabetes Research Centre. She has expertise in Evidence Synthesis, Decision Modelling, and Health Technology Assessment. The Leicester Real World Evidence Unit work to harness the power of real world data, and deliver robust studies in a number of areas, including assessing the effectiveness and safety of different drugs; phenotype, trajectories, trends, outcomes, complications and prognosis for different cardio metabolic diseases; the development and validation of prediction models for health outcomes; and assessment of costs and cost-effectiveness of different preventive and management interventions.
