Dr. Caroline Day

Caroline Day is director of Med Ed UK, which provides specialist education for healthcare and pharmaceutical industry professionals. She is a graduate of Aston University, Birmingham and King’s College Medical School, University of London and has worked in a range of educational and healthcare settings and was an inaugural editor (2001-2014) of the British Journal of Diabetes & Vascular Disease (now British Journal of Diabetes). Dr Day is a committee member (former Chair) and Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology and a Visiting Fellow with the Aston University Diabetes Group. Her specialist research interest is the evaluation of traditional medicines in the treatment of diabetes for which she received a personal Leverhulme Trust research award: she has more than 100 research papers, reviews, book chapters and on-line reference texts, mostly relating to the treatment of type 2 diabetes and obesity.
