Consultant Strategic Leadership Programme

The ABCD Consultant Strategic Leadership Programme (CSLP) is the third and most recent addition to the ABCD personal development offering. Aimed at consultants with five or more years’ experience, the CSLP will provide colleagues with the opportunity to explore the different facets of strategic leadership within the NHS. Accredited through the Academic Institute of Medicine at the University of Wolverhampton as a stand-alone short course, delegates can either, obtain a certificate of attendance, or with further self-study earn 20 credits at NQF Level 7 which can be used towards a Master’s qualification.

The course is a two-day course, run annually, focusing on strategic leadership and the delivery of service improvement programmes and projects. Delegates participating in the programme will consider how to apply practical strategic leadership concepts and will participate in structured action learning. As is the case for the CDP, external speakers from across the NHS and the wider health economy will be invited to contribute their unique insights to the CSLP.
